Case-study

The Challenge

The key objective of this project was to tell millions of American’s about a book that would end up changing many lives, bridge the digital divide between off line and online marketing activities through a proactive and integrated calling campaign augmented by an online website accepting pre-orders. bGlobal’s role was related to the technology aspects to make this all happen under tight deadlines. We sure came through!

The Solution

The bGlobal Team created the concept and designed a very simple and user-friendly layout for the site which encapsulated author info, publisher info, how to order, online pre-order registration, and a press release area. An admin area was also implemented to allow administrative users to pull site stats and other relevant campaign info.
In addition to the public facing online property, a complete back-end order entry database was created by the bGlobal team and rolled out to facilitate telephone orders which were inputted by call center agents staffed to handle call volume as a result of the combined marketing efforts. Back-end functionality included a reporting tool which allowed call center management to track sales conversion rates and other account specific info.

The Result

In part to bGlobal’s involvement, the pre-launch was a major success, resulting in a quarter of a million copies sold in the first month and the coveted #1 spot on the New York Times Best Seller for non fiction.
