The Challenge
HBO’s goal was to have fresh content created that complimented the True Blood series and utilize new platforms of distribution to lure in fans of Alan Ball and the series of novels the show is based on. A physical comic book was previously created; however, the challenge was to figure out how to bring this comic book to life on the internet.
The Solution
bGlobal was successful in creating a digitally branded version of the comic book using flash technology which allowed users to view the comic online, switch between pages, send to a friend, print, and zoom in and out of the files.
The Result
A fascinating and new way to view print material online to engage fans in the TV series before it even started, creating buzz and acting as another tool in the show’s extensive marketing campaign.
