bGlobal is excited to announce the launch of our most recent project - "A Letter from Santa" This unique online site gives users the ability to send a beautifully illustrated, hand-signed letter via the USPS. The best part is that the letters are postmarked from the North Pole! (That’s North Pole, Alaska)

Working with our partner Click 2 Mail, who is a pioneer in web-enabled, hybrid mail, bGlobal successfully created the architecture and programmed the system that made this site come to life on the net.

Make sure to visit the site and send a letter: http://www.remindsanta.com

Case-study

The Challenge

The key objective of this project was to create an online environment that would ultimately get the AISD community to interact with the online site. The objectives were to “revamp” the look and feel of the site, add “web 2.0” elements such as blogs and community driven content and implement a content management system so that members of the AISD staff could make changes to the site on the fly.

The Solution

The goal was to create an online community for students to participate and interact with the school regularly. Contribution to the site content needed to be made almost daily. The website needed to be capable of user registrations and user content uploads, however AISD were keen to monitor content before it could be published.

Using Expression Engine CMS as the basis of the website meant the site content could be managed easily with many author roles on a daily basis and AISD content managers could effortlessly track registrations and new content additions.

bGlobal then created an additional management module for News, Events and Blogs for the lower division schools. The website functionality allowed registered users to upload their classroom events, assignments and required reading materials to be shared with students, staff, and parents.

The Result

An easy to manage interactive website that was a huge improvement over the old site that we completely revamped. Check it out: http://www.ais-dhaka.net
